Mahogany & Light was created from a shared belief that organizations thrive when their foundations are strong, their systems are clear, and their people feel supported. With decades of combined experience across operations, customer experience, analytics, and large‑scale organizational leadership, we bring a balanced perspective shaped by both small‑business agility and corporate‑level strategy. That blend allows us to see the whole picture — the people, the processes, and the patterns that drive meaningful, sustainable change.

Our work is rooted in the symbolism of our name. Mahogany reflects the strength, resilience, and grounded structure we help organizations build. Light represents clarity, guidance, and the kind of thoughtful leadership that makes work feel more manageable and teams feel more empowered. Together, they capture our approach: steady, intentional, and always centered on helping people do their best work.

At Mahogany & Light, we partner with businesses that want to operate with more ease and intention. We focus on creating systems that reduce friction, improve performance, and support long‑term growth — whether that means refining processes, strengthening customer experience, or helping teams navigate change with confidence. Our perspective is both analytical and human‑centered, ensuring that solutions make sense on paper and feel right in practice.

Ultimately, we’re here to bring clarity to complexity, lighten the load for the people doing the work, and help organizations grow with strength, purpose, and heart.

I’m a leader with deep experience helping organizations run smarter, serve customers better, and grow with intention. Throughout my career in telecommunications and internet services, I’ve been driven by a passion for solving complex problems, building strong teams, and creating processes that make work easier for everyone involved. I’m at my best when I’m turning challenges into clear, scalable solutions that support both the business and the people behind it.

I’m especially energized by initiatives that strengthen customer retention, increase revenue, and improve operational efficiency — the kinds of challenges that demand both strategy and heart. Over the years, I’ve helped shape company‑wide policies, refine service offerings, and ensure teams have the tools and clarity they need to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Creating environments where people can do their best work is something I take seriously and genuinely enjoy.

With more than 40 years of leadership experience across sales planning, quality and process management, finance, information systems, and customer experience, I’ve developed a leadership style that is data‑driven, people‑focused, and always centered on continuous improvement. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Fontbonne University, and I bring a steady, solutions‑oriented mindset to every team and project I support.

“My goal has always been simple: use what I’ve learned to make work easier, clearer, and better for the people who do it.”Lisa Hilf

I’m someone who genuinely enjoys bringing order to chaos and helping people do their best work. Operations has always made sense to me — the patterns, the problem‑solving, the way small improvements can completely change how a team functions. I’m detail‑oriented by nature, but what drives me most is creating systems / processes that make work feel lighter, clearer, and more manageable for the people who rely on them every day. Having worked in both small‑business environments and larger corporate settings, I’ve learned how to blend scrappy, hands‑on problem‑solving with the structure and strategic perspective that comes from leading within more complex organizations.

My strengths live at the intersection of data and people. I enjoy digging into trends, understanding what’s really happening behind the numbers, and turning those insights into practical solutions that actually help. Just as importantly, I care about how teams feel while they’re doing the work. I believe in positive, solution‑based environments where communication is open, expectations are clear, and everyone has what they need to succeed.

As I continue my MBA in Business Analytics, I’m expanding the tools I use to support businesses in smarter, more strategic ways. My goal is simple: to help organizations run more smoothly and to make the day‑to‑day experience better for the people who keep them moving. That’s the work that energizes me, and it’s the kind of impact I’m committed to making.

“Data tells the story, but people give it purpose. My goal is to turn complexity into clarity and strategy, so teams can do their best work” - Madi Kraus
